Down a side-alley in Camberwell I came across what could only be described as a gum wall. Over time, high school students had stuck chewing gum on this wall, creating words, colour collages, and images in chewing gum. It got me thinking about great short stories, and how, when combined in the mind, they create new identies, new realities and new ways to look at the world. Hence, my Gum Wall; short stories that stick, and the reasons they resonate.
